Czech startup Dronetag launches the smallest Remote ID for drones
The Czech startup Dronetag is launching its first product – Dronetag Mini, and it is the lightest, smallest, and most affordable device that can scale up and coordinate any drone operation.
Dronetag Mini is an IoT device designed to make drones smarter, connected, and safer. It brings an all-in-one solution for safe drone flights that allows you to manage your fleet and stay informed about your current flights. Dronetag uses the most modern 5G cellular and Bluetooth 5 communication technologies to meet European legal requirements for real-time drone identification.
The Mini could be attached to any drone. It is half the size of a muesli bar and weighs just 32g. On top of that, the battery can last up to 14 hours. This guarantees your drone flight would not be interrupted. Mini is accompanied by a mobile and web app and ensures the drones and their flight plans are visible to airspace authorities and other pilots.
“Dronetag Mini is the only device on the market that offers both Direct (Broadcast) and Network Remote ID – which means it is not only ready for the current requirements, but it is “future-proof” for the upcoming needs,” says Dronetag’s founder & CEO Lukáš Brchl.
The Remote ID is a digital transmission of the drone operator number and drone’s and pilot’s position. Due to the growing number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), there is a globally increasing demand for Remote ID systems.
Founded in 2018 by a team of Czech Technical University students, Dronetag is now continuously working with the European Space Agency (ESA). The team was incubated in the ESA BIC Czech Republic, and currently, it is part of the Aspire with ESA program.
