Romanian audiobook app Storis (now VOXA) raises half a million through a Seedblink campaign
Storis, the first native Romanian audiobook platform has now raised €505,000 through a campaign on the crowd-investing platform SeedBlink. The investment will be invested in product development, content creation, marketing, and personnel expenses.
With a variety of audiobooks, e-books, and podcasts, Storis has become a preferred alternative to Audible. Founded by Catalin Mester and Dan Vidrascu, the platform aims to become “the biggest digital books catalog in Local country language & English content”.
The growing interest in audio and streaming platforms is a clear sign of success, considering that more and more users choose some form of digitalized content. Storis team shares that “in 2021 in Europe, digital books already average 10-15% of the total book market, by 2024 sales are estimated to reach 30-35%”.
